E S Y T L E & R E P O R T A G E S Rami Eatessami - A Hollywood Dream-Maker "What we do at IMAR is pretty simple," Eastessami explains. "We provide contest winners with the opportunity of a lifetime. For instance, a European music TV station might run a contest and a simple text message would be all someone needed to send to enter. The prize might be tickets to a Justin Timberlake concert in the United States, complete with a backstage pass and meeting. We offer prizes that money can't buy. Everyone has an idol" he says, "and through our networking we make meeting that person a reality. Some of the lucky ones visit the sets of TV shows and meet their favorite actors. Occasionally they'll land a non-speaking role. We've even done movie premieres like the one for the Oceans Thirteen where the winner got to go to the Cannes Film Festival and party with the cast!" Some IMAR winners become stars themselves. "There was one kid who'd never been out of Belgium," he recalls. "He won our contest to attend a post-Oscar party. Both he and his brother attended the black tie event and had the experience of their lives being photographed with the likes of Paris Hilton, Victoria Beckham, P. Diddy and Elton John. After doing an interview with one of the Belgian networks covering the event, the two boys went home celebrities and had paparazzi waiting for them at the airport." With an international team of contacts helping him in Los Angeles, London, Denmark, Italy and South Africa, IMAR has branched out into a new service, providing breaking news on celebrities delivered to his subscribers' mobile phones. "Paris Hilton is front page news everywhere," he says. "Sometimes I wonder if she has any idea how big she is globally. "I consider myself pretty lucky," says Eatessami. "It's wonderful to be able to do what I do for others. I didn't know if this little idea of mine would work and now all of a sudden I'm hearing my promotions and contests on stations around the world. That's a great feeling."
